Beverley Town hope the future is looking bright
As part of the club’s ambition to play in the Northern Counties East League, Beverley Town requires floodlights at its Norwood Park home.
The club received planning permission from East Riding of Yorkshire Council during 2021 and in December, Town started the fundraising quest to make their promotion dream become a reality.
The club have started a number of fundraising initiatives in its attempt to raise their £30,000 goal and will be speaking to local businesses and making grant applications to finance the project.
Other criteria for promotion include a hard standing area around the Norwood Park pitch and covered standing for over 50 people.
Town have set up a Go Fund Me page and are urging individuals to support their club and community and secure Beverley’s future by making a donation.

On the field, Town are currently sat top of the Humber Premier League and finished 2021 with a 5-0 victory over East Riding Rangers, a fourth win in a row.
During this run, Mike Thompson’s side scored 18 goals, without conceding a goal at the other end.
A belated start to 2021 due to the COVID-19 lockdown saw Town embark on a nine-game winning sequence and culminated in them lifting the Humber Premier League title with two games to spare.
Thompson and his players have put themselves in a similarly good position and will be hoping to make it back to back titles when the league campaign reaches its conclusion later in the year.
