Two men have been arrested following the reported theft of a vehicle from outside a property on Watts Road in Beverley.
Humberside Police said officers were called at around 1.10pm yesterday (Monday, March 23) after receiving reports that a vehicle had been stolen.
Police were deployed to search the area and quickly located a white transit van travelling south over the Humber Bridge towards Scunthorpe, carrying a suspected stolen blue Range Rover on a trailer.
A short pursuit followed before the vehicle was brought to a stop in the Lincolnshire area. The driver and passenger were both detained at the scene.
A 30-year-old man and a 34-year-old man were subsequently arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. Both remain in police custody while enquiries continue.
