Blok & Vine serves up great Yorkshire produce
Blok & Vine is a new café and restaurant which has recently opened on Dyer Lane in Beverley.
The venue is owned by Matt Holwell, who has worked in hospitality for 18 years and has spent the last decade dreaming of opening a place of his own.
Specialising in cheese and wine, the café offers charcuterie boards, sandwiches and pastries sourced from local suppliers.
Matt said: “It is a relaxed, chilled spot where you can come for some good-quality Yorkshire food and drink. Showcasing Yorkshire produce is something we’re all about.”
Matt began his hospitality career as a cleaner at Pizza Express and worked his way through every role before becoming an area manager.
“I love hospitality — everything about it — and that’s what pushed me to set this place up,” he said.
“Cheese and wine is what I’d look for on a night out. I don’t think there’s anything like it in Beverley, so I decided this was the spot.”
