Beverley to Honour the Fallen at Annual Remembrance Day Parade
Beverley will once again unite in solemn remembrance on Sunday, 9th November 2025, as the town honours those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.
This year’s Remembrance Day Parade will begin with participants assembling at 10.00am in the School Lane car park. At 10.15am, the parade will form up under the guidance of personnel from the Defence School of Transport, before stepping off at 10.30am to march through the town towards Beverley Minster.
A Service of Remembrance will commence at 10.50am within the Minster, marking the traditional two minutes’ silence and the laying of wreaths in memory of the fallen. The service is expected to conclude at approximately 11.50am, after which parade members will reform outside and march through the town centre to Hengate and into the Memorial Gardens.
Civic dignitaries and leaders of the Armed Forces will take the salute at Market Cross in Saturday Market Place as the parade passes.
A service and wreath-laying ceremony will follow at the cenotaph in Memorial Gardens at around 12.30pm, providing a moment for reflection and gratitude. The formal proceedings are expected to conclude by 1.00pm, and attendees are asked to remain in the gardens until the parade has reformed and marched off.
Following the ceremony, refreshments will be available at St Mary’s Parish Hall, offering an opportunity for the community to gather and share memories of those who served.
The event, is one of Beverley’s most poignant annual occasions, bringing together residents, service personnel, veterans, and young people to ensure that we will remember them.
