A 59-year-old man has tragically died following a single-vehicle collision on the A1034 in South Cave yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, 8 January).
It is reported a green BMW was travelling eastbound on the A63, taking the slip road towards the A1034 in South Cave, when it is believed to have collided with a barrier on the A1034 southbound carriageway.
Emergency services attended, however a 59-year-old man who was driving the car at the time of the collision, died at the scene.
His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the collision, who has dashcam footage or witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to them, to call non-emergency number 101 quoting log 217 of 8 January.
