The Beverley Festival of Christmas returns this Sunday

The Beverley Festival of Christmas returns on Sunday 8th December 2024 bringing a wonderful range of Victorian-themed market stalls, as well as fairground rides and street entertainment.

Stalls brimming with festive gifts will take over Saturday Market, Wednesday Market and North Bar Within from 10am-4pm, together with plenty of family entertainment.

At 10am, Father Christmas will lead his parade from Wednesday Market, greeting the crowds through Butcher Row and Toll Gavel on their way to Saturday Market, where they will stick around until about 1pm.

There will also be festivities taking place on the day at Flemingate shopping centre, Beverley Minster, St Mary’s Church, The Guildhall, Toll Gavel Church and East Riding Theatre.



In the run-up the the Festival of Christmas, The Made in East Yorkshire Christmas Market, which celebrates businesses and traders from across the region and is also sponsored by the Beverley Arms, will be held in Saturday Market from Wednesday 6 December until Friday 8 December, from 10am-4pm.

The Thwaites shire horses will be in attendance each day, along with entertainment from local buskers and school and college choirs.

The weekly Saturday Market on 9 December will also have a festive theme, making a total of five days of Christmas markets in Beverley.



Victorian Christmas Markets

Sunday 8th December 2024, 10am – 4pm

The Beverley Festival of Christmas Traditional Victorian Christmas Market stalls selling everything from festive food and drink, to arts and crafts.

Last year over 120 stallholders brought their high quality Christmas gifts, homeware, tasty food and drink, jewellery and much more to our Christmas Festival. The independent stallholders make our market the special and unique event that it is, with the majority of our traders being local to the area.

Saturday Market Place: Bustling cobbled historic marketplace in the heart of Beverley.

North Bar: Stunning shopping area overlooked by St Mary’s Church and the 15th Century North Bar.

Beverley Minster Christmas Tree Festival

This year’s Beverley Minster Christmas Tree Festival will take place from Wednesday 4th to Sunday 8th December, when over 150 decorated trees will be on display

Flemingate Centre

Toll Gavel United Church – Open from 11am – 3pm.

East Riding Theatre – Lord Roberts Road.

St Mary’s Church, North Bar Within.

Guildhall Register Square, open from 10am-3pm.

Beverley Festival of Christmas is located in Beverley town centre, only a short walk from the train/bus station and various car parks. On Sunday 10th December there will be a number of road closures and restricted parking within Beverley town centre,
