Celebrity revealed for Flemingate Christmas light switch-on

Thousands of people are expected to join in the fun at this year’s Christmas lights switch-on at Beverley’s Flemingate centre.

The highlight of the evening, none other than Girls Aloud sensation Nadine Coyle, will grace the stage to enchant the audience with her iconic noughties hits.

Nadine Coyle’s electrifying performance promises a nostalgic journey, but that’s not all. The event will feature an array of phenomenal talents, including The Linkage College Choir, Room 64, West End performer Adam Lacey, a Taylor Swift Tribute by Katy Ellis, The Longcroft School Battle of the Bands winners, the cast of TaleGate Theatre’s Pinocchio, the AFO Choir, and the enchanting voice of Albert Stott.

Cosy Nordic ‘Christmas Tipi Flemingate’ is making a welcome return with its roaring fire pit, festive lighting, and cosy seating, and many of the shops are staying open for a spot of late-night shopping. Revellers can also enjoy food stalls and funfair rides.

Father Christmas will also be making an appearance.

Drivers are being warned that part of Armstrong Way will be closed to traffic for the event with diversions in place.

People coming to the event by car can use Flemingate’s 500-space car park for just £2 for three hours.

So, mark your calendars for November 17, 2023, and gather at the Flemingate Centre for all the fun at this year’s Christmas lights switch-on.
