PHOTOS: Course records broken at Beverley 10k
This year’s Beverley 10k proved to be an outstanding race with both the male and female course records broken in an impressive and competitive field.
The male winner was Jordan Skelly from Lincoln Wellington AC who smashed the course record in 30:12 with Della Hatfield from City of Hull breaking the women’s record with a time of 34:24.
First Beverley AC male runner home was James Johnson (32:41) and first female was Demi Lidster (38:32).
In total, 44 Beverley runners took part with some great personal achievements.

Among the performances to highlight were George Rice, who finished fourth under 18 in 39:07, Mark Dalton finished second V60 in 39:44 and Sam Allen was second FV60 in 44:55.
Rachel Cope was fourth FV40 in 46:24, Ella Harris-Smith was second FU18 in 46:46 and Alan Flint was first V70 in a time of 46:47.
In the team categories, Beverley’s male team came second and Beverley female team came third.
A spokesperson for Beverley AC said: “The club considers it a real pleasure to host this iconic race in Beverley and receive the support of so many local people and members of the community.
“Huge thanks as always go to, Pittaway for their sponsorship of the 10k and to B and A Scaffolding who sponsor the fun run, and to East Riding College, without whose support the event could not have taken place.
“In addition, Club members took on important key roles to ensure the smooth and safe organisation of the day.”
Ben Atkinson and Matt Frampton took over the role of organising and coordinating marshals and Nigel Wilson was responsible for traffic management.
The event was also an opportunity to support the club’s nominated charity for this year. Race participants were invited to bring donations for the Beverley Food Bank, when they registered, and organisers were overwhelmed by the generosity shown and the huge amount of donations made.
