Officers investigating a road traffic collision are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
It was reported that a motorcyclist was riding along the A164 near Cottingham at around 7:30am this morning (Tuesday 13th September).
It is believed that the motorcyclist came off his bike as he tried to avoid a collision with a white van. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital for treatment on serious injuries.
