Little Shop of Horrors is coming to Beverley
Glenholme Florist in Beverley provided the perfect backdrop for Beverley Musical Theatre to showcase its upcoming production of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’.
The principals, Georgia Kingston, playing Audrey, and Richard McDonald, who plays Seymour, recreated a scene from the quirky show, which will be performed at Beverley Memorial Hall from Tuesday 14th – Saturday 18th June, with the curtain raised at 7:30pm nightly.
Little Shop of Horrors is a tongue-in-cheek musical comedy set in the 1960s, with rock music associated with the era.
Mild-mannered florists assistant Seymour Krelborn comes across a strange new breed of plant, which he names after his secret love and co-worker, Audrey.
The plant becomes a foulmouthed, R and B-singing carnivore, intent on world domination and promising Seymour fame and fortune, as long as he keeps feeding it, which comes with disastrous consequences.
Beverley Musical Theatre is using a professional set and band, along with a talented cast to ensure the show provides an entertaining and much-needed evening out.
Those going along are advised that the production includes adult language and comic horror.
