Beverley RUFC’s match against Pontefract on Saturday 26th March was the club’s 10th annual Ladies’ Day fixture.
There was plenty of glamour off the pitch and high-quality action on it, as a bumper crowd enjoyed the excellent weather.
Unfortunately for the hosts, Pontefract won the match 27-10, a result which sealed their promotion from Yorkshire One and their success added to the atmosphere around Beaver Park.
The day raised around £2,700 for the Cherry Tree Community Centre in Beverley and a collection generated a further £460 for the Disasters Emergency Committee appeal for Ukraine.
